What is the process of Cabinet Refacing?

The cabinet refacing process typically involves the following steps:

Answer: Our refacing process was purposely designed with our clients in mind. We understand you need your cabinets! Our goal is for you to never to be without your cabinets except when our installer is on site. Depending on the size and complexity of your project refacing is a minimally invasive project. To ensure a pleasant customer experience we use specialized products and superior craftsman techniques including our ‘No Spray Painting’ policy in our customers homes. Although this is a faster process for contractors, this was found to be more disruptive for our clients and their households. Since the cabinet boxes remain in place, the project is much faster than a full cabinet replacement. Clients should budget 2-4 days from the time your old cabinet doors are removed until a completed project. Your installation consultant will be more than happy to discuss exact project timelines specific to your project.

Answer: Yes! Refacing can save homeowners 10’s of thousands of Dollars compared to a full cabinet replacement. It’s an excellent way to update the kitchen’s appearance without the high costs of tearing out and installing new cabinetry.

Answer: When done professionally with high-quality materials, refaced cabinets can last 15 to 20 years or more with proper care. We use durable materials made in the USA, to enhance longevity. In a factory, your cabinet doors undergo a ‘conversion varnish application’ which is a complex paint method used to increase overall durability. This process increases hardness, clean-ability, yellowing resistant, paint elasticity and cabinet longevity to a level a painter handyman can not achieve by simply painting your existing cabinet doors.
